The Office of Faculty Affairs coordinates a variety of activities associated with faculty life and academic programming on the Boulder campus. The office is a branch of the Division of Academic Affairs and is administered by the Vice Provost and Associate Vice Chancellor for Faculty Affairs.

Research Faculty and Post-Doctoral Fellowship recipients report up through the Vice Chancellor for Research & Innovation. HR processes for Research Faculty are coordinated through ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder HR, not Faculty Affairs. The Boulder Campus Research Associate Faculty Series include the following titles:

This policy is part of APS 5019, Parental Leave for Faculty and Staff. The Office of Faculty Affairs manages all faculty leave, but faculty and instructors should also work with their department/unit HR staff.

(BUSN) Leeds School of Business - Personnel information can be accessed by faculty on the Leeds Intranet link. For further questions contact your department Chair or the Leeds Manger of Faculty Support Services. 

(CMCI) College of Media, Communication, and Information – Faculty should contact the Department Chair and/or review department bylaws for specific processes related to these items. For additional questions, faculty should contact the CMCI Director of Operations.

(LAWS) Colorado Law School – The Law School Rules provide governing principles for a range of matters involving faculty governance, faculty hiring and promotion, curriculum, student admissions, and graduation requirements.

Faculty Relations - The position of director of faculty relations was established in 2007 in recognition of the need to provide services to faculty members and academic administrators to help develop and maintain working relationships that are positive and productive. These services include individual consultation, mediation, assessment of unit dynamics, and investigations of allegations of unprofessional behavior as defined in the PRD (Professional Rights and Duties of Faculty Members.) 

Ombuds Office - The Ombuds office assists all ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder students, staff, and faculty with any university-related dispute or concern. The Ombuds Office is a safe, credible, accessible and voluntary resource. Services are offered free of charge and are kept in strict confidence.

Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance (OIEC) - The Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance (OIEC) is responsible for three policies at the University of Colorado Boulder: Sexual Misconduct, Protected Class Discrimination and Harassment, and Conflict of Interest in Amorous Relationships. If you have a need to report an incident or have a question about your responsiblity to report, please contact them directly. They are happy to assist you. 

The PRR (Professional Rights and Responsibilities of Faculty Members and Roles and Professional Responsibilities of Academic Leaders) is a document that sets out in broad terms the privileges and responsibilities, as well as the standards of professional conduct of the faculty at ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder.

Faculty with any questions on campus grievance procedures should contact the chair of the BFA Grievance Advisory Committee or the

Ceratin faculty grievances may be heard by the ±Ê°ù´Ç±¹´Ç²õ³Ù’s (PAC). Please read the policy for more information on what these grievances may be and/or contact the BFA Grievance Advisory Committee for more information.

 - The mission of the ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä P&T is to provide Faculty Senate members a hearing for grievances involving perceived violations of rights and privileges. That is, P&T is the due-process vehicle for Faculty Senate members. This is a System level committee and eligible ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder faculty should contact the for more information.

These are policies that apply to all ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä campuses.

¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä is governed by the Board of Regents, and Regent Laws are the laws of the university as directed by the Board of Regents. Some Regent Laws and Policies are currently under review.

These are general campus policies specific to ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder.

¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder faculty and staff members can submit a single application each academic year to be considered for up to three different funds designed to support their dependents who are pursuing higher education.

Eligible ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä employees can receive a waiver for up to a total of 9 credit hours of tuition (space-available basis) per year (fall through summer). Employees have the option to transfer the benefit to a dependent. Dependents of ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder employees can receive a discount of 30 percent off of tuition.
