Applied Leadership Practice
The Advanced Leadership Practice (ALP) is our next level of leadership training, open to those who have completed CLP, upperclassmen and students with previous leadership experience.
ALP gives you the opportunity to apply the skills and knowledge that you have previously learned to simulations, activities and your own life. We believe that, with support, stepping into leadership roles will help you develop the increased confidence, empathy and self-awareness that are fundamental to leadership. Throughout the semester you will have the opportunity to work on a community service project that benefits the local Boulder community.
Why apply for ALP?

- Hone and develop your leadership style
- Give back to the community through participating in a community service project
- Earn a graduation cord
ALP is free to all ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder students.
Application deadline: Thursday, Sept. 5 at 11:59 p.m. Decisions will be sent out by Sunday, Sept. 8 at 11:59 p.m.

Program Overview
While CLP is dedicated to developing a strong sense of self and providing a basic introduction to leadership theory, ALP gives students the opportunity to apply this knowledge by delving into deeper concepts and applying them with other participants to their own lives. Participants are held to a higher standard of contributing to the learning that takes place in weekly sessions. This program consists of a weekly discussion and action-based sessions. At the end of the semester, participants will develop an in-depth leadership project and present it to their cohort.
