The Mosaic Intercultural Leadership Program unites first-generation college students from the Program in Exploratory Studies who are globally conscious leaders, eager to positively impact their communities.Ìý

Program requirementsÌý

Students who participate in the Mosaic program are expected to engage in the following requirements:Ìý

  • Meet with a peer mentor at least once during the fall semester.
  • Enroll and participate in FYXP 2200 during the fall semester.
  • Participate in the Summer Pre-Arrival Program.
  • Assigned to live in Farrand Hall.**

**Residential students are invited to be part of the Design Your Path LLC in Farrand Hall. There is limited availability and is only available to students who have submitted a housing application by May 5. Commuting students are exempt from this requirement.Ìý

Program eligibilityÌýÌý

This program is designed to support ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder students who meet the following criteria:Ìý

  • The student is a first-generation college student, meaning their parents did not receive a 4-year degree.
  • The student is seeking academic support and mentorship.
  • The student is in their first year and is enrolled in the Program in Exploratory Studies.Ìý

Applications are due May 5.Ìý

Q: I’m a commuter student—do I need to live on campus to take advantage of the pre-arrival program activities or access to the program?ÌýÌý

  • A: No! Commuter students will be able to participate in activities scheduled on and off campus throughout the semester. More details to come.Ìý

Q: Is it mandatory for me to take FYXP 2200 in the fall semester?Ìý

  • A: As part of building a small and cohesive cohort of students in, registering for FYXP 2200 is mandatory. Students will receive one (1) credit that can count towards a student's free elective credit requirements.Ìý

Q: I completed dual enrollment/took community college courses through my high school—am I still able to participate?Ìý

  • A: Yes! We hope to help you navigate the university and all it has to offer, whether you’re transferring with 34 credits or zero credits.Ìý

Q: Does this program cost anything to participate in?Ìý

  • A: No, this program is free for all ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder students.Ìý
