Requesting Teaching AppointmentÌýfor University Staff (Additional Job)
- Note: A new additional job letter is required for each semester that a University Staff member wishes to teach.ÌýÌý
- The unit sends the following documents to CAS Faculty Affairs (cas-faculty@colorado.edu) via email for review, approval, and routing:Ìý
- The text of the email shouldÌýcontainÌýthe following information:
- Staff Member’s EIDÌý
- Staff Member’s Primary Position NumberÌý
- Staff Member’s Primary Position TitleÌý
- Staff Member’s FTE and Percent of Appointment inÌýtheir staff jobÌý
- Compensation for the requested teaching appointmentÌý
- Full name of course to be taughtÌý
- Course number of course to be taught (example: DEPT 1111-001)Ìý
- Term of course to be taughtÌý
- Name and email address of staff member’s Direct Supervisor for their staff positionÌý
- Name and email address of Dean or Provost overseeing the Staff Member’s staff positionÌý
- Staff Member's CV
- Courses Agreed to Teach GridÌý
- Letter of Recommendation, from one faculty member within the hiring department, explaining the Staff Member’s qualifications to teach the specific courseÌý
- A new letter of recommendation is required for each semester that a University Staff member wishes to teachÌý
- The text of the email shouldÌýcontainÌýthe following information:
- CAS Faculty Affairs will route the hiring packet for signature.Ìý
