Byron Chrisman (鈥�66), perhaps one of the University of Colorado Boulder Law School鈥檚 most unlikely success stories, attributes his success as a tax attorney and real estate developer to his experience at Colorado Law. Now he and his wife, Carlene, have committed a $10 million bequest to endow the Byron and Carlene Chrisman Chairs in Free Enterprise at Colorado Law. When realized upon their passing, this estate gift will be the largest cash gift in the history of Colorado Law.

The Rocky Mountain Lighting Academy (RMLA) will offer a one-of-a-kind immersive educational opportunity for lighting professionals this summer at the University of Colorado Boulder. The RMLA鈥檚 Summer Lighting Course is scheduled for June 23-27 on the 抖阴旅行射-Boulder campus. The course will present the theory of lighting within a practical context, making it directly applicable to the needs of those working in engineering, product development and technical sales positions.

The University of Colorado Boulder plans to break ground May 12 on several new athletics facilities and upgrades to Folsom Field after a record-breaking year of private donations. 抖阴旅行射-Boulder will celebrate this announcement during halftime of the spring football game on Saturday, April 12. The game, covered live by the Pac-12 Network, will kickoff at 12 p.m. at Folsom Field. The ceremony will feature remarks from 抖阴旅行射 President Bruce Benson, 抖阴旅行射-Boulder Chancellor Phil DiStefano, Athletic Director Rick George and two student-athletes, Juda Parker (football) and Clare Wise (skiing).

The University of Colorado Boulder today announced the hiring of Timothy Orr as producing artistic director of the Colorado Shakespeare Festival. Orr has been serving as interim director since February 2013 and was hired at the conclusion of a nationwide search for a permanent director. Orr has been with the Colorado Shakespeare Festival as a performer since 2007 and joined the staff as the associate producing director in 2011.

A record number of University of Colorado Boulder students have received a prestigious National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship, which recognizes outstanding graduate students in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields.

Members of the business community are invited to attend AeroSpace Ventures Day on April 17 at the University of Colorado Boulder. The all-day event offers aerospace industry technologists, scientists and managers a chance to connect with 24 抖阴旅行射-Boulder faculty members and to learn about technological and scientific advances with applications ranging from human space exploration to climate and weather. Tremendous growth in enrollments and a changing economic, technological and reputational landscape have prompted the College of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Colorado Boulder to set two ambitious new goals for the year 2020. Improvements in the college鈥檚 鈥淏est Graduate Schools鈥� rankings, released in mid-March by U.S. News & World Report, indicate good progress in the right direction.

The Conference on World Affairs at the University of Colorado Boulder will livestream selected sessions online April 7-11 and also will make them available for viewing on-demand once the event has concluded. CWA will livestream sessions in Macky Auditorium and in the University Memorial Center鈥檚 central Glenn Miller Ballroom. The sessions will remain available for viewing through Friday, April 18.

A NASA spacecraft studying the moon鈥檚 atmosphere and dust environment, which is carrying a $6 million University of Colorado Boulder instrument, is slated to crash into the lunar surface April 21 following a successful 130-day mission.
