The U.S. Department of State announced the selection of Olivia Livneh of Boulder's International English Center (IEC) for a prestigious 10-week English Language Specialist project this spring.

Livneh,an instructor and the reading/writing curriculum coordinator at the IEC,will work on a full assessment and curriculum review of the Institutional English Program at the Autonomous University of Yucatán in Mexico.
Livnehholds a master's degree in education, teaching English as a second language, from the University of Washington, and a master's degree in management and organization from Denver. She has worked atthe IEC since 2012, and prior to joining Boulder, taught abroad in China and Mexico. She previously served as an assessment coordinator at the IEC from 2013–19.
The English Language Specialist Program offers teachers of English as a second language the opportuntiy to work on projects developed by U.S. embassies in more than 80 countries, focusing on how English is taught abroad by wortking with local education officials and teacher trainers.
