this entry: When Boulder created the College of Media, Communication and Information in 2015, it charged the college’s leaders to not just teach those disciplines, but explore the areas where they overlap, to cultivate cutting-edge thought leadership and prepare students for new kinds of careers. The college magazine, CMCI Now, showcases how our students, faculty and alumni have confronted this brave new world and found ways to create impact. Those changes, and how our community navigated them, were a central theme of the fall 2023 edition and demonstrated how CMCI’s uniquely interdisciplinary focus offered valuable perspectives and insights on artificial intelligence, climate change and careers.

this entry: The Advancement Marketing and Communications and Alumni Association teams created a once-in-a-lifetime video of the Forever Buffs community welcoming Coach Prime to Boulder through a collaborative partnership and the support of a freelance videographer. The creative partners attended an event just before the Boulder football spring game and invited attendees to express their excitement, welcome Coach Prime and cheer “Sko Buffs” as a way to kick off the school year and football season. Forever Buffs were excited to engage with a variety of props as the Marketing and Communications team videoed their distinctive messages. The final product was a montage hype video to build engagement and excitement among Forever Buffs, while welcoming Coach Prime.
