Summer in Boulder offers students and community members the opportunity to get involved in a number of exciting ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder programs that go beyond Summer Session courses.

Science Discovery High School Classes and STEM Research Experiences

Science Discovery high school classes and STEM Research Experiences prepare high school students for their transition to college and provide insight into possible STEM career paths. These pre-college programs combine academics and campus-based activities to give high school students a well-rounded introduction to college life. Students are immersed in one to four-week STEM-focused courses in areas such as aerospace, medicine, biomedical research, neuroscience, maker technologies and innovation, robotics, video game design, forensics and more. High school classes and the STEM Research Experience are offered in a commuter format for local students.

Panoramic Flutist Seminar

The Panoramic Flutist returns in 2024 to host a four-day residential seminar for flutists over the age of 18. Learn more about Panoramic Flutist.

Summer Music Academy

The Summer Music Academy at the University of Colorado Boulder College of Music presents exciting opportunities for high school and middle school musicians from Colorado and around the country to receive world-class instruction.

Summer Master of Music Education

The Summer Master of Music Education (MME) degree at the University of Colorado Boulder is designed to address a variety of interests, needs and areas of expertise for K-12 teachers. Students working toward an MME degree complete 12 hours of study in music education, 12 hours of study in music and six hours of open electives.

¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä NOW

is a three-week, interactive session that empowers student singers and composers to workshop their own pieces and works by new opera professionals.

Conducting Symposia

For professional wind and orchestral conductors, these summer symposia—led by College of Music conducting faculty and renowned guests—strengthen conducting technique, rehearsal strategies and more.

Alexander Technique Plus

The Alexander Technique Plus (AT+) summer experience includes significant aspects of the Alexander Technique, Body Mapping, movement, mindfulness and psychology—all in the service of inclusive well-being. 

(SPA) is a full-scholarship intensive summer chamber music and solo performance program focused on cultural diversity for string musicians ages 11-17.

The Office of International Education offers a number of summer study abroad programs for students, which provide incredible opportunities to travel, explore, and broaden your experience while staying on track to earn your ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder degree. Both  and  are available for summer 2018.

Science Discovery

¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Science Discovery offers a variety of hands-on STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) and for K-12 audiences. Week-long full and half-day programs on the ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder and ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Anschutz Medical campuses explore a variety of topics, including outdoor ecology, robotics and coding, engineering and design, space science, biomedical sciences, maker technologies, photography and much more. All programs, led by ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä graduate students and subject matter experts, offer experiential learning activities designed to connect participants to ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä science, research, and campus resources and facilities.

Post-Baccalaureate Health Professions

This program is designed for adults who already have completed a bachelor's or graduate degree and who are preparing for a career change into a clinical healthcare profession. Enrolling as a post-baccalaureate pre-health student through Continuing Education at ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder gives you access to the courses you need and provides you with a rich array of pre-health advising services to help you become a competitive applicant to professional school. With ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder’s rigorous academics combined with the expert guidance our students receive from our experienced team of advisors, our post-baccalaureate pre-health students consistently achieve outstanding admission rates to professional school programs in clinical healthcare. We specialize in working with non-traditional students (typically in their 20s through 40s and beyond) who are preparing for the following types of programs:
