Students no longer need to submit the grade replacement request form by the deadline.&nbsp;</p><p>If a student is retaking a course but does not want grade replacement applied, they may opt out by emailing <a href="mailto:registrar@colorado.edu?subject=Grade%20replacement%20opt%20out%20request" rel="nofollow">registrar@colorado.edu</a> by the last day of classes of the semester.&nbsp;</p><p>Other changes:</p><ul><li>There are no longer credit limits on grade replacement.</li><li>Nondegree students enrolled in credit-bearing ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder courses are now also eligible for grade replacement. (Law students are still not eligible.)</li></ul><p><em>*Eligible grades include&nbsp;C- and below for undergraduate and nondegree students; C+ and below for graduate and graduate nondegree students. As seats open up in these classes, students will be enrolled off the waitlist, but no new students can join the waitlist.</p><p><strong>Note</strong>: After this date, it also won't be possible to manually add students to in-person or hybrid in-person class waitlists.</p><p>For classes without in-person components, waitlists will remain open through the waitlist deadline (Sept. 2 for 16-week classes; prorated for <a href="/registrar/students/calendar/sessions" rel="nofollow">special session classes</a>). Undergraduate and graduate students now have until <strong>11:59 p.m. on Monday, May 11</strong>, to submit a <a href="/registrar/spring-2020-pass-fail-request-form" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">pass/fail request form</a> to change their grade mode from letter grade to pass/fail or vice versa.</p><p>Previously extended late drop and grade replacement request deadlines remain unaffected. On May 12, we'll notify students who changed their grade replacement class to pass/fail that they're no longer eligible for grade replacement.</p><p>We're asking instructors for their assistance by taking the following actions:</p><ul><li>To limit confusion for students, if you have not already posted your grade rosters,&nbsp;please approve and save them&nbsp;by the grading deadline, but do <i>not </i>post them. (Posting grade rosters before the extended grace period pass/fail requests have been processed by the Office of the Registrar may lead to confusion and or additional inquiries from students regarding the status of their request.) On May 12 we will automatically post all completed grade rosters with a saved status of "Approved."
