Welcome to MENV!

The Admitted Students website is designed to (1) help you, as an accepted student, navigate your decision to enroll in the MENV Graduate Program and (2) prepare you to matriculate in the fall and continue your academic career as a professional graduate student at Boulder. This website will serve as a comprehensive resource for all incoming students. Because the MENV administrative team will continue to update this page throughout the spring and summer, we encourage you to bookmark it for your convenience. 

MENV New Student Orientation is Thursday, August 22 and Friday, August 23, 2024! International Student Orientation is on Monday, August 19 (if applicable) and Graduate Student Orientation is to be determined.

Important Things to Know Before Registration

Setting up your Identikey

Your IdentiKey is the login and password that you use throughout your career at and will be used for a variety of resources such as  and accessing the , ’s Student Portal (). To set up your new Identikey please . You have to have your IdentiKey set up to access registration, Canvas, and other systems at Boulder. Please make sure to do this as soon as possible!

Setting Up Duo App

To access some of the portals for  Boulder you will need to use the Duo App which is a multi-factor authentication to increase account security. Please learn more  on how to set this up and have it ready to access different systems at Boulder.Fall 2024 Registration Information. 

 

Fall 2024 Registration Information

April 29 is the first day of fall course registration for newly admitted graduate students. 

Be sure to  before registration begins. Instructions on how to  on the Office of the Registrar's website. Failure to complete pre-registration steps can sometimes lead to issues that prevent newly admitted students from being able to log into the system to enroll in classes. If you do encounter “authentication” issues once registration begins, please reach out to the Registrar’s office at registrar@colorado.edu for assistance and provide them a screenshot of the error and your Student ID number. 

Once you have followed the instructions above and obtained your email address and login information, please follow the two links below. The first link is a video with detailed instructions on which courses to register for and how to utilize the abundant resources in the MENV Academic Advising Canvas environment; the second link enables you to self-enroll in the Canvas environment itself.

Again, to self-enroll in the Canvas environment, you must have already obtained your Identikey and email address. 

Brendan Park is available for advising appointments. You can book an appointment with him . Brendan will meet with each and every student, so please plan to have your advising appointment with him and ensure that you are registered for your fall classes no later than June 15.

Now that you have committed to the MENV program you should begin completing the items on the . We especially recommend that you prioritize setting up your Identikey as soon as possible since you will need it to apply for on-campus housing, register for courses, etc. Also, check out the 

If you are , you must submit the 2023/2024 academic year FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Completing the FAFSA as soon as possible may increase your chances of receiving the most financial aid possible as some funds are first-come, first-serve. Information on loans, other sources of financial aid, and assistance in navigating the application process can be found at .

We encourage you to join the Admitted Students Slack Channel to get to know one another as well as engage with current MENV students. The closed group will be offered to confirmed incoming students and current students. You will be able to use the forum to ask questions of current MENV students, connect with your fellow cohort members on housing and logistics, and start to build your community before you arrive on campus.
