UROP funds undergraduate research, scholarly and creative work with several types of grants. UROP projects are partnerships between ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä’s outstanding faculty and undergraduates from all fields.

The Student Academic Success Center is a multi-cultural academic learning community, serving low income and first generation college students with academic skills development.

The ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder Writing Center offers writers from across disciplines and skill levels the opportunity to work one-on-one with professionally trained writing consultants. We help writers at all stages of the writing process from planning through revision.

The Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program supports active research participation by undergraduate students in any of the areas of research funded by the National Science Foundation.

The NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines who are pursuing research-based Master's and doctoral degrees at accredited United States institutions.

The Summer Research Early Identification Program (SR-EIP) is a fully paid summer internship that provides undergraduates with training and mentoring in the principles underlying the conduct of research and prepares them to pursue competitive applications to PhD or MD-PhD programs. 

The Colorado Diversity Initiative, within the Graduate School, oversees several programs on the ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder campus that promote diversity among science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) programs. Through this initiative, we help undergraduates prepare for graduate school, offer learning and mentoring opportunities for graduate students, and provide broader impacts research support for faculty and staff.

There is a future where STEM reflects the demographics of our country, so the field is better equipped to solve our world's most pressing problems. Through our people, programs, and partnerships, SACNAS has taken a radical approach to lead with culture and identity as the means to achieve true diversity in STEM.
