Housing Master Plan
Increasing housing choices for the campus community
¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder housing and planning staff completed a Housing Master Plan (HMP) initiative in 2019 and 2020 that sets a vision for the future of on and off-campus housing, and how the university supports student success through housing. It examines providing both undergraduate and graduate students, as well as faculty and staff, with increased housing flexibility and choices. It also outlines recommendations for future housing renovation and development on the Boulder campuses that aligns with the campus strategic initiatives, such as Strategic Facilities Visioning and Academic Futures.
The final HMP document and the recommendations within it informed the Campus Master Plan, completed in 2021 in accordance with Colorado statutes. This included an overarching set of principles for how the university approaches housing, as well as recommended options that were considered during the Campus Master Plan efforts.
