The ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä-Boulder Student-Worker Alliance Program is a student-led organization at ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder that pairs ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä student volunteers with campus employees who need assistance speaking, reading, and writing English. Buff Buddies meet with their partners on the ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä campus in one-on-one tutorials once a week. Read Buff Buddy blogs about this program here and here.

Volunteers for this program teach English lessons and conversational skills to their ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä employee partner, as appropriate for their partner’s current level of English. SWAP student mentors can make use of the teaching materials provided by the SWAP program, or they can choose to engage their students in other kinds of activities, such as reading current events from the newspaper or practicing conversational routines.

After a mandatory training session, SWAP volunteers meet with the employee once a week for 1-2 hours at a campus location of their choice. We hope you will consider joining this inspirational program!
