Our Services

We offer a range of mental health services tailored to fit the needs of ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉäÌýBoulder students.

Stop by various locations on campus for a free drop-in session with a CAPS counselor to talk through your concerns, gain insight, learn about services and connect with additional resources.

Free workshops are available toÌýhelp students learn how to manage stress, combat anxiety, practice healthy habits and learn valuable lifelong skills.

Brief individual therapy is intended to help students understand and address specific struggles, difficulties or concerns. Most students come in for 3-5 sessions and will meet with their provider every 2-4 weeks.

*Please note:ÌýA screeningÌýappointment is required to determine eligibility for individual therapy.

CAPS provides psychiatric evaluations for students who are interested in exploring, starting or continuing mental health medications.

*Please note:ÌýA screeningÌýappointment is required to schedule psychiatry appointments.

Students can access counseling and psychiatry services through community providers. Thriving Campus can help connect students with services based on preferences like insurance, specializations, location and more.

CAPS provides a variety of letters and documentation for students, including:

  • Accommodation Documentation
  • Appointment Verification
  • ADHD Documentation Review

Join a free interpersonal process therapy group to build better relationships, interpersonal skills, practice giving and receivingÌýfeedback and learn strategies to feel more connected with others. Groups are available for undergraduate students, graduate students and those with specific concerns (e.g., trauma, chronic conditions, autism spectrum disorder, etc.).

Join a skill-based therapy group to learn about mindfulness and develop more self-acceptance, assertiveness and communication skills.

WellTrackÌýis a free app that allows you to explore aspects of yourÌýmental health and provide you with helpful insights and solutions to common concerns, including stress, anxiety and depression.

We work collaboratively with Medical Services to provide nutrition assessments, triage and referrals for students who are struggling with issues related to food, weightÌýand body image.

Wardenburg Health Center has a team of behavioral health providers, including therapists, psychology interns and social workers. These providers can help you with stress management, goal-setting, finding treatment or ongoing care and more.

AcademicLiveCare (ALC) is a free telehealth platform that allows students, staff and faculty to schedule and attend mental health and medical appointments from home, campus or wherever you are on the go.

We offerÌýtreatment and medication management for students diagnosed with ADHD.

*Please note: CAPS does not provide formal testing or assessments for diagnosing ADHD. However, CAPS can provide referrals to community providers that can.

We work collaboratively with the Collegiate Recovery Community (¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉäCRC) to work with students who have alcohol- or drug-related concerns and substance use disorders (SUDs).
