Things to Know
Conference Structure
Each panel will be composed of no more than four graduate student presenters, plus a graduate student commentator and a faculty chair. The chair will introduce the presenters and their papers and will moderate the question and answer period. Chairs are also responsible for keeping the panels running on time and will, if necessary, cut short presentations that have run over their time limits. Commentators will read the papers in advance and will present their remarks after the paper presentations. Then the session will be opened up for questions and discussion with the audience. Each panel will last approximately 1.25 hours, so each presentation should last no more than 15 minutes. Full written papers must not exceed 10 pages in length, but the paper for the oral presentation must not exceed 8 pages in order to fit in the 15 minutes.
Available Equipment in Conference Rooms and on Campus
There is free wi-fi available on campus ("UCB Guest").
The conference room has multiple types of cabling available so you may connect your devices in the event you wish to use PowerPoint or other types of visual presentation material. RMIHC committee members will be available to assist with tech questions.

The most convenient way to pay for hourly parking in Boulder (on campus and off) is using the app but there are also pay stations.
You can also find free parking on the street in many areas around campus. Just be certain to look for signage.
Weather Conditions in Colorado
The weather in Boulder is often variable, and the temperature can drop thirty degrees over the course of the day. Bringing a light jacket for the evenings is advisable. Additionally, Boulder is located at an altitude of 5,430 feet. The change in altitude can make many people dizzy or nauseated; drink plenty of water to mediate the effects.
