Getting To & From the IEC, Around Boulder, & More

By Car

Many students find that they don't need a car in Boulder due to the bike-ability, variety of transit options and proximity to shopping, restaurants, and other services. If you plan to have a car, you can look at the  website for more information.

Another popular car service is to use rideshare mobile phone apps like Lyft and Uber to travel around many cities in the US, including Boulder. When you request a ride, your driver will automatically get directions to your destination, and you pay for your ride with the debit card or credit card you’ve saved in the app.

Parking

The IEC does not offer student parking. Metered parking is available on 13th Street in front of the IEC building until 19:00, and is free after that. In addition, there are many free 2-hour parking spots around the IEC building. You can park in these spots as long as you want after 17:00. Refer to the parking map below for detailed parking information.

By Bicycle

On a beautiful sunny Boulder day, many students enjoy commuting by bike to campus.

  • Bike racks are located all throughout the city and campus, with covered bike parking at select locations.
