APS Course Waivers & Transfer Credits
APS Course Waivers
Course waivers:ÌýA faculty member on the GCCC (Mitch Begelman AY 24-25) tapped by the Graduate Associate Chair (Julie Comerford AY 24-25) will issue a core course exemption letter. Discussion between the GCCC faculty member and the student who wishes to be exempt from courses should take place during the first week of the fall semester, as this helps incoming students know which classes to take and which not to take. A letter written by the GCCC faculty member will be issued to the student outlining their exempted courses and the graduate program coordinator will keep it on file. Students cannot transfer credits until they have completed six credit hours at ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder and have established a GPA. Credit transfer forms must be submitted after the student’s first semester.  Please contact Lindsay.Nelson-1@colorado.edu for more information.Â
Transfer CreditsÂ
Transfer of credit form:ÌýThis process does not involve the GCCC faculty member. The student meets with their faculty PhD advisor after their first semester at ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä to fill out the form up to 21 credit hours. Any credit hours above 21 will not be approved by the graduate school. Once submitted by the student, the form goes through the following approval workflow: the graduate program coordinator,Ìýstudent’s faculty PhD advisor, the graduate associate chair, and finally the registrar’s office to be uploaded to the student record.
