Dear faculty and staff colleagues,
We are grateful for the hundreds of you who attended the March 7 forum on Transformation and Financial Resilience, for the engaging questions at the forum and for the numerous ideas we have received already for how we might set up our campus for a future of operational excellence and financial strength that is both strategic and sustainable.Ìý
We are writing to follow up with a few items as we start to take next steps in these discussions with the campus.Ìý
We recognize that discussions about projected budget shortfalls, no matter how small, can be challenging. We also want to reiterate that ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder is fortunate in that we still have the opportunity to control our own destiny. This means more than just mitigating potential shortfalls. Transforming the way we operate will also free up resources to be visionary and innovative in how we deliver upon student success and new discovery.Ìý
We approach this work centered in our most important values: a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and shared equity leadership as a leading global research institution dedicated to serving the public good.Ìý
With gratitude for all you do,
Russ and PatÌý
