Long-awaited battery electric Buff Buses will hit the streets this week, thanks in part to a pair of U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Diesel Emissions Reduction Act grants. Two more electric buses are expected to join the fleet by summer 2023.

The annual Institute of International Education's Open Doors report, released Nov. 14, highlights ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder’s continued presence as a top university host of international students and sender of students abroad.

The rejection of Ballot Question 2F means the ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder South site remains within Boulder’s city limits and the city’s flood protection project—among other aspects of the annexation agreement—can continue to move forward.

Congratulations to Peyton Hall Magalhaes, cello, who won first prize in the Bruce Ekstrand Memorial Graduate Student Performance Competition. Soprano Anna McMahon was awarded second prize, and other finalists included Logan Banister, alto saxophone; Lauren Flaten, flute; and Rebecca Ortiz, trumpet.

Peter Pilewskie, a senior researcher and faculty member, has been named to a National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine’s committee that supports scientific progress on research requiring global data best acquired from space.
