The draft 抖阴旅行射 Boulder Climate Action Plan (CAP) has been published (as a PDF file)听for public comment, and all students, faculty and staff are encouraged to . The comment period runs Feb. 5 to March 5.听

鈥淲e are excited to get our community鈥檚 open and honest feedback on the draft Climate Action Plan,鈥 said Vice Chancellor for Infrastructure and Sustainability Chris Ewing, a member of the CAP steering committee. 鈥淭he CAP is a critical document that maps out our strategy for achieving carbon neutrality, and the voices of our campus community are vital to ensuring the CAP is as good as it can be.鈥

The public comment period is the latest round of CAP engagement, which started with constituent meetings in fall 2022; was followed by a robust round of feedback on early CAP recommendations in April 2023; and has most recently included dozens of meetings with shared governance groups, colleges and schools, and other key constituents. Anticipated release of the final CAP is April 2024.

鈥淚t鈥檚 important for the campus community to know we are not waiting until the CAP is finalized to start taking action. We have plans in the upcoming year for solar projects, a geothermal study, energy efficiency updates in many of our buildings, fleet electrification and more,鈥 Ewing said. 鈥淭he CAP ties all of our efforts together to ensure each helps us achieve our goals.鈥
