Boulder Chief Operating Officer Patrick O’Rourke on Friday announced two finalists for the position of associate vice chancellor for health and wellness.The campus community is invited to participate in public forums with each of the respective candidates on March 14 and March 20.

The finalists for the position include:

- Joel Schwartzkopf, assistant vice chancellor for student health and well-being, Washington State University
“These two finalists exhibit an expertise and passion for wellness that I know will lift the great work of our Health and Wellness Services team to new heights,” O’Rourke said. “I am excited for our campus to meet them. And I’m grateful to our search committee and search committee chairperson Llen Pomeroy for their leadership and dedication in helping us identify the top candidates.”
In addition to the open forums, finalist interviews with campus leaders will take place in the coming days and weeks, with the goal of identifying a final candidate this spring.

The public has the opportunity to submit questions for the candidates in advance through the registration links above. Questions may also be submitted to the Zoom host through the chat during the forums and will be asked as time permits. Priority will be given to questions submitted in advance.
Participants in the campus forums will have the opportunity to submit feedback for each finalist via online survey. Feedback can also be submitted via email to evc-coo@colorado.edu by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22. O’Rourke will review all feedback prior to making an offer to a candidate.
The associate vice chancellor for health and wellness plays the central role in shaping the campus’s health and well being for all of Boulder’s students, faculty and staff. This includes the departments of Medical Services, Counseling and Psychiatric Services, Disability Services, the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program, Office of Victims Assistance, and Health Promotions. The position reports directly to the COO.
