The system office about the status of one-time funds it had previously committed to accelerate the systemwide strategic plan.

The Connections story noted the reduced amount of funding available will likely affect the scale and pace of some projects for which funds had been identified.

“I want to reassure our campus that this will not affect our campus’s operating budget or day-to-day operations,” Boulder Chief Operating Officer Patrick O’Rourke said. “The one-time funds were outside of our general campus operating budget. CFO Todd Haggerty and I are working with the system office to understand the full scope of one-time funds that remain available to our campus for the projects that were identified in the strategic plan.”

Boulder campus leadership is still determining what those specific impacts are for our campus and initiatives.O’Rourke said he and Haggerty will continue to work with campus and initiative leaders as more information is gathered and decisions about how to prioritize available funding are made.
