We recognize that changes to the Inspire tri-executive ticket for the 2022 ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Student Government (¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉäSG) elections have created some questions for students.
The change was made because one student was not an eligible candidate for office per the requirements in the ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉäSG Election Code. The election code is drafted and adopted by ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉäSG. Federal privacy laws prevent us from discussing further details.
We know that students pour many hours into running for ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉäSG positions, and the students who volunteer to lead their fellow students care deeply about the student body as a whole. We understand that the commitment and effort it takes to prepare for elections will make this disappointing for the students who support the Inspire ticket.
As elections proceed, ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder looks forward to a new group of elected students who will continue to preserve ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉäSG’s important mission on campus.
