The Graduate School will launch the gradSERU survey on March 30 for all graduate and professional students (excluding MBA and Colorado Law) enrolled in spring 2021. This survey, originally planned for April 2020, was postponed during the early days of the pandemic.听

As a comprehensive, longitudinal survey, the gradSERU survey, part of the , is designed to examine students' experiences across the entire spectrum of their graduate career: academic, research, teaching, professional development, well-being and sense of community.听

鈥淐ollecting this wide swath of information from our graduate students helps us get a sense of how they are doing from many different perspectives,鈥 said Scott Adler, dean of the Graduate School. 鈥淎nd because we are members of the SERU Consortium, we can benchmark the findings at the unit level with many of our AAU public peers.鈥

On March 30, Adler will email the link to the gradSERU survey to all graduate and professional students with a personal invitation to participate. 鈥淲e want to know the accomplishments and triumphs, as well as the challenges and obstacles, that our graduate students are experiencing,鈥 Adler said.

The link to the survey will be live through April 30. In addition to the core questions, the survey includes supplemental questions that are of particular concern to 抖阴旅行射 Boulder graduate students and graduate programs.

鈥淚 think it鈥檚 important to note this survey is not intended as strictly a COVID-19-related survey,鈥 Adler said. 鈥淭hat information was gathered in the SERU COVID-19 Student Experience Survey, distributed late last spring, which helped the Graduate School respond to graduate student needs due to the COVID-19 pandemic and prepare for the 2020鈥21 academic year.鈥

Through its administration every other year, the gradSERU survey will be an ongoing way to track changes and improvements in academic programs听and the utility of various support services for the Graduate School.
