¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder students and employees can expect to see pedestrian and traffic impacts soon from a pair of city construction projects getting underway near campus that ultimately are aimed at improving the bike and pedestrian experience in two busy locations.

Work to install a new pedestrian/bike underpass on Foothills Parkway just south of Colorado Avenue begins Monday, Sept. 23. The new underpass will replace the existing pedestrian overpass. Installation is expected to take about one year. Impacts for commuters will include bike and pedestrian detours. All four lanes of Foothills Parkway will remain open at most times, with occasional closures during off-peak times. More information on the project and impacts is available on the .

Xcel Energy, meanwhile, has begun utility relocation work near the intersection of 30th Street and Colorado Avenue in preparation for the city’s . The utility work, which will include lane closures during the work day, is expected to run through late October.Ìý
