CliftonStrengths is afree toolthat Boulder is using to provide university community members with the knowledge, skills, and experiences to foster strengths-based conversations leading to increased well-being and belonging across campus.

Career Services workshopStudents, faculty, staffand administrators who focus on their strengths to achieve well-being and are engaged with one another are more likely to be committed to and proud of the institution. Engaged and healthy studentsare more likely to remain at Boulder, graduate in a timely fashion and stay connected with Boulder as active alumni.

Staff and faculty are invited to participate in free professional developmentworkshops facilitated bythe Strengths Advisory Committee. or contactstrengthsquest@colorado.edu with any questions.

Strengths Introduction

Through this interactive session, learn about Strengths theory and build knowledge of Strengths to motivate the Boulder community to maximize their talents. Upon attending this session, learners will develop a preliminary understanding of Strengths theory, recognize how personal Strengths manifest in daily life and understand how Boulder integrates Strengths into the campus community.

Tuesday, Nov. 27, 10 a.m. to noon

Pre-requisite: Completion of Clifton Strengthsonline assessment

Strengths in 1:1 Conversations

Apply Strengths theory and expand familiarity with other Strengths to improve individual conversations and relationships. During thissession, learners willcultivate an increasedappreciation and understanding of Strengths outside of their top five and will utilize tools andpracticehaving a Strengths-based conversation.

Wednesday, Oct. 17, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Pre-requisites: Strengths Introduction (or another Strengths workshop)

Strengths in Supervision

Through active participation in this session, learners will be able to explain how their Strengths influence their supervision, understand principles of Strengths-based management and engagement, build knowledge of Strengths-based questions, and identify at least one new strategy to incorporate in their supervision approach.
