Hillel at Boulder
Mission
"We inspire every Jewish student to make an enduring commitment to Jewish life, learningand Israel—thereby making the world a better place. We build a Jewish community whose values enrich the lives of students during their college years and beyond. We feel that interfaith activities are very important for our community in light of the current fractious political climate that includes rising anti-semitism, anti-Muslim sentiment, hate crimesand divisive rhetoric. We must all be allies for each other, and we hope to reinforce that by fostering an interfaith/multi-denominational community on our campus and beyond."
Hillel is committed to:
-
Nurturing a student-led, staff-supported culture committed to excellence, innovationand accountability;
-
Creating a welcoming, pluralistic and inclusive environment for Jewish students and their guests;
-
Guiding students to live by the Jewish prophetic values of social justice (tzedek and tikkun olam);
-
Embracing Jewish learning and support for Israel andJewish Peoplehood; and
-
Supporting students to anchor their lives in their deepest values to become tomorrow’s Jewish leaders.
