On Dec. 8, 2016, the Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance (OIEC) circulated an Administrative eMemo regarding recent Colorado legislation passed into law. Read the full memo text here.

The new law, effective Aug. 10, 2016, requires Colorado employers to engage in an interactive process to assess potential reasonable accommodations for applicants and employees for conditions related to pregnancy and childbirth.Ìý

In an effort to educate ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder employees, the OIEC has scheduled information sessions. Employees will learn about applicable rights as a pregnant employee and supervisors will learn about necessary requirements as a state of Colorado employer.
