The ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder libraries have recently made a change to off-campus access for the American Chemical Society (ACS) publications, whichÌýwill no longer be accessible using the campus VPN. Instead, users will need to Ìýor accessÌýthrough the library’s catalog.

This decision has been made following a number of inappropriate and excessive use violations of ACS, which resulted in the publisher disabling access for the entire campus for a period of time, creatingÌýa huge inconvenience forÌýusers. EZProxy gives the library better control over who can access resources and thus protects the library, as well as all ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder students, faculty and staff, in instances of misuse.
