Octobre is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

With October being Domestic Violence Awareness month, ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä wantsÌýto remind theÌýcommunity of theÌýpolicies in place that prohibit this type of conduct.

Based on ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä policy, intimate partner abuse (including domestic or dating violence) is defined as any act of violence or threatened act of violence against a person with whom the individual is or has been involved in a sexual or dating relationship. This includes threats, assault, property damageÌýand violence/threat of violence (either to one’s self orÌýfamily members) when used as a method of coercion, control, punishment, intimidation or revenge.
