Michael Brown, one of the world’s most accomplished adventure filmmakers and a -Boulder alumnus, will share his story during his talk “Beyond the Summit” at the Back to Boulder Luncheon. The luncheon, to be held Friday, Nov. 2, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom, is free for all -Boulder students.

Brown will talk about his amazing work capturing the triumph of the human spirit in places as treacherous as the summit of Mount Everest and as lonely as the ice-covered regions of Antarctica. He also will discuss his path to success and the important role leadership has played.

The and the are happy to present this event as the first program in a speaker series targeted to students interested in leadership.

Brown’s acclaimed 2003 documentary "Farther than the Eye Can See" followed Golden-based blind climber Erik Weihenmayer’s expedition on Mount Everest with guide Jeff Evans (Anth’94).
