University of Colorado at Boulder Professor John Stocke will present a live astronomy show, "Navajo Skies," on Friday, Nov. 6, at 7:30 p.m. in Fiske Planetarium.

"Navajo Skies" is the third in a series of astronomy shows to be presented by Fiske Planetarium this semester.

Stocke will explore traditional American Indian star and constellation myths, including the Navajo story of the creation of the stars. The program is based on a research project he conducted with two Navajo medicine men under the auspices of the Navajo Community College, since renamed Dine¢, located at Tsaile, Ariz., on the Navajo reservation.

Fiske Planetarium is located at Regent Drive and Kittredge Loop Drive on the ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä-Boulder campus. Free visitor parking is available after 5 p.m. at metered spaces along Regent Drive or in metered lots 306 and 330 off Regent Drive.
