University of Colorado football fans will have a chance to help BoulderÂ’s needy families while they cheer on the Buffs by donating food at the Oct. 17 home game.

¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä-Boulder and Community Food Share will host a food drive at Folsom Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 17, when the Buffs take on Texas Tech. Canned and other non-perishable food or money contributions will be collected by student athletes and various ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä coaches as fans enter the stadium.

A free pass to a ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä menÂ’s or womenÂ’s basketball or volleyball game will be given to each person who makes a contribution.

The day before the game, Oct. 16, is World Food Day, devoted to increasing awareness, understanding and informed action on world hunger.

All donations will go to Community Food Share of Boulder.

The food drive is co-hosted by ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉäÂ’s Athletic Department, the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, the Office of Community Relations and the ChancellorÂ’s Office.
