The University of Colorado School of Law has made Professor Arthur H. Travers Jr. the first recipient of the Clifford J. Calhoun Public Service Award.
The $500 award recognizes outstanding contributions made to the law school, the university, and the legal community "which exemplify the spirit and tradition of Professor Calhoun's altruistic career with the School of Law." The award is funded by an endowment from an anonymous donor.
In announcing the award, ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Law Dean Hal Bruff applauded Travers' extensive service within the university and to the Colorado Bar Association and the Boulder County Mental Health Center.
Travers has degrees from Grinnell College and Harvard Law School. He joined the law faculty in 1970.
