Peter L. Strauss, the Betts Professor at Columbia UniversityÂ’s School of Law, will deliver the 41st annual John R. Coen Lecture in the Fleming Law Building on the ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä-Boulder campus.

Titled "Common Law Judges and Interpretation," the lecture will begin at 4 p.m. Monday, April 20, in the Lindsley Memorial Courtroom. The talk is free and open to the public.

Strauss specialized in administrative law, legal method, legal education and constitutional law. He has been active for more than two decades as a consultant on regulatory reform. He has lectured widely on American administrative law at programs across the globe, including Germany, Argentina, Japan, Mexico and Turkey. Strauss joined the faculty at Columbia in 1971.

The Coen Lecture Series is made possible by a gift from Adrian S. Coen in memory of her husband, John, who was a distinguished member of the Colorado bar. The income from the Coen Trust is used to bring distinguished scholars, lawyers and jurists to ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä for public lectures.
