The final NCAA self-study report on the University of Colorado at Boulder athletics program will be available for public review at several campus locations beginning Jan. 21.

Public comment on the report is encouraged, said Jean Kim, vice chancellor for student affairs and head of the review process. The goal of the procedure is to ensure ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä-Boulder's fundamental commitment to integrity in intercollegiate athletics.
The ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä-Boulder NCAA Certification Committee consists of more than 40 students, parents, faculty, staff and administrators. Members served on several committees including four primary groups dealing with rules compliance, academic integrity, fiscal integrity and commitment to equity.
The committee's final report will be available for review at Norlin Library, the information desk of the University Memorial Center, the Office of Student Affairs in room 307 of Regent Hall and the Office of Student Services in the Dal Ward Athletic Center. Each site will receive about eight copies.
The report also will be posted on the University of Colorado at Boulder web site at .
Copies of the report also will be sent to the Boulder Faculty Assembly, Staff Council, University of Colorado Student Union, the Board of Regent's Athletics Committee and the offices of the chancellor and ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä president for distribution as needed.
All comments on the report must be received by Feb. 28.
An outside NCAA peer review committee is scheduled to visit campus April 1 through April 4. The certification process is scheduled for completion in September.
Every college or university with an NCAA Division I athletic program must conduct a self-study at least once every five years. The NCAA certification process was piloted at ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä-Boulder in 1991.
In addition to evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of the athletics program, the committee is charged with drafting plans for improving any weaknesses.
