Upon graduating from ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder’s MA-SLP program in 2015, Katie worked at a two-way dual-language preschool and elementary school in Jeffco Public Schools. She has experience completing assessments and providing intervention to students ages 3-12 in both English and Spanish, as well as providing education and support to families and teachers with unique cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. She joined the Child Learning Center (CLC) preschool team in Fall 2021. In this role, she instructs MA-SLP graduate students in current, evidence-based strategies in speech/language assessment and intervention of young children. Katie is passionate about multidisciplinary collaboration, which is pivotal in supporting each unique child and family in the CLC across all domains of early childhood development. Outside of the classroom, Katie can be seen jamming on the bassoon or piano, digging in the garden, chasing down a disc on the ultimate frisbee field, or wrestling with her two young boys!
