Christina Riseman, M.A. CCC-SLP, is a clinical faculty member who specializes in the assessment and treatment of adults with acquired neurogenic cognitive-linguistic disorders. Originally, Christina received her B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering with a Bioengineering option from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. She returned to school to receive her M.A. in speech-language pathology at the University of Colorado Boulder after searching for a career that could satisfy both her strong scientific curiosity and desire to help others.  She has experience in both acute care and outpatient settings working with adult individuals with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.  Christina also has a personal connection to the field, having a close family member who is a person with aphasia. She currently instructs students within the ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic who work with adult individuals with acquired cognitive-linguistic disorders in both individual and group settings. She has a deep desire to participate in clinical research to improve upon and further integrate evidence based practice in our field.
