Eric Burger has a PhD in Creative Writing & Literature from the University of Utah and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Arizona. He has been teaching in higher education for almost 30 years. He loves helping students find their voices and use writing to learn about themselves and the wider world. He teaches creative nonfiction courses in the Program for Writing & Rhetoric, as well as science writing and first-year writing. His writing has appeared most recently in Narrative, Ploughshares, Seneca Review, Passages North, Missouri Review Online, Denver Quarterly, and Harvard Review Online, as well as with New Michigan Press. He lives in Longmont, CO with his wife and two children.
