Suspect pleads guilty in residence hall burglaries
On Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2020,ÌýNicholas Joseph Lorenzo (DOB 12/20/84),Ìýthe suspect in the residence hall burglary cases in October 2018, pled guilty toÌý25 countsÌýincluding second degree burglary and theft. Twenty-two of the 25 counts carry possible sentences of 4-24 years per count.
Last week, Lorenzo pled guilty in a caseÌýin BroomfieldÌýthat was not associated with the ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder case.
"We would not have gotten to this ending without the incredible hard work of many of our officers, investigators and evidence technicians," said ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder Police Chief Doreen Jokerst.Ìý"I would like to specifically recognizeÌýInvestigator Ruth Christopher and Evidence Technician Will Heskett. The work that they did over countless hours was integral in the arrest and final outcome."
Lorenzo will be sentenced in the ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder case onÌýApril 10, 2020.
