The Center for Neuroscience serves as a nodal administrative structure the purposes of which are to organize and foster the development of neuroscience research and teaching at ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder. The center faculty members are affiliated with 13 different departments and institutes at ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder. The Center for Neuroscience:
- Administers the ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder Neuroscience PhD program
- Fosters interdisciplinary interdepartmental research and interaction
- Obtains both federal and corporate funds to support the development of neuroscience at ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder
- Acts as a focal point for interaction with the neuroscience community at large such as national organizations and programs at other universities
- Fosters interest in neuroscience among undergraduates at ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder
