- Internationally renowned concert pianist Michael Lewin will perform a free public concert and teach a master class in Grusin Music Hall on Oct. 22.
- As his country continues to suffer from violent political upheaval, terrorism and atrocities, renowned Syrian-American composer and pianist Malek Jandali will bring his message of peace and human rights to 抖阴旅行射-Boulder with a lecture and public concert on Sept. 29.
- Judith LeClair and Jonathan Feldman will be in residency at the College of Music from October 25-28. They will present master classes on Thursday, October 25 from 3-5:30 pm and Friday, October 26 from 1:30-3:30 pm. They will present a concert on Sunday, October 28 at 7:30 pm along with 抖阴旅行射 faculty Christina Jennings, Peter Cooper, and Yoshiyuki Ishikawa.
- The 抖阴旅行射 Youth Piano Program trains students through weekly, one-hour or half-hour private or group lessons. Instructors are experienced teachers from the 抖阴旅行射 College of Music, and the program is supervised by the 抖阴旅行射 Piano Pedagogy Chair, Dr. Alejandro Cremaschi.
- Several students of Professor of Piano Andrew Cooperstock were recently named prize winners in the 鈥淣ew York Concerti Sinfonietta 2011 International Piano Concerto Competition.鈥 Grand Prize winner Antonio Pastor-Otero (DMA), now professor at the Conservatoire de Musique de Gen猫ve (Switzerland), performed Haydn鈥檚 鈥淐oncerto in D Major鈥 at Carnegie Hall鈥檚 Weill Hall on Dec. 17. He was joined by his wife, second prize winner Pia Bose (DMA), who performed Mozart.

- The Keyboard Department had a highly successful 3rd annual Keyboard Day on March 12, 2011. The audience included local teachers and students, and we spent the day exploring various aspects of keyboard playing and getting to know one another.
- Jazz Piano Bachelor of Music student Annie Booth received an Honorable Mention as part of the 2011 ASCAP Foundation Young Jazz Composer Awards. This program, established in 2002, was created to encourage gifted jazz composers from throughout the United States. The recipients, who receive cash awards, range in age from 9 to 29, and are selected through a juried national competition.
