The Bruce Ekstrand Memorial Graduate Student Performance Competition is the premier graduate student competition for College of Music students at the University of Colorado Boulder. Finalists Kellan Toohey, Paulo Oliveira, the Rano Winds graduate wind quintet, Charles Lovell and Michael Hoffman talk about why the opportunity is crucial in helping students on the way to the professional music world.
The Ekstrand Competition finals are free and open to the public, Sunday, Nov. 15, 2 p.m., Grusin Music Hall.
