Fall break information
Fall break is from Nov. 23 through Dec. 1! Whether you’re staying on campus or traveling during break, here are some tips and reminders.
If you are going to be away from campus during fall break
- Lock your doors and windows.
- Unplug lights, computers and appliances (except refrigerators) for safety and to conserve energy.
- Take valuables (like jewelry) and any essentials (medication, passports, etc.) with you.
- Secure your vehicles and bicycles in your approved parking area.
- Turn your heater to the low setting where possible (unless you live in Sewall).
- Remove any garbage from your room before you leave.
If you are going to stay on campus during fall break
- Notify your RA in advance.
- Do not prop doors open.
- Report strangers to an RA, the hall office, or ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉäPD at 303-492-6666.
- Always keep your doors and windows locked.
- Keep bicycles and vehicles secure.
Dining Services
Regular dining hours will end on Friday, Nov. 22. Starbucks in the UMC and the WeatherTech Cafe will be open for limited hours from Monday, Nov. 25 through Wednesday, Nov. 27. All locations will be closed Nov. 28-29. C4C Dining and the Village Center will reopen Sunday, Dec. 1. All other dining locations will reopen Monday, Dec. 2. Visit the dining hours website for additional information.
There will be a few events with food taking place in the halls over break. Check with your community center front desk for more details.
Buff Bus Operations
Please check or @¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉäBuffBus on X (formerly Twitter) for exact times. Regular Buff Bus operations end the evening of Friday, Nov. 22. There will be no Buff Bus service between Saturday, Nov. 23 and Saturday, Nov. 30. On Sunday, Dec. 1, weekend Wil Vill service will be from 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Regular service resumes Monday, Dec. 2.
UPS Store Hours
- Monday, Nov. 25-Wednesday, Nov. 27: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
- Thursday, Nov. 28: Closed
- Friday, Nov. 29: Closed
- Saturday, Nov. 30: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Sunday, Dec. 1: Closed
Hall Offices
Resident Advisors will be on rotation as usual. Hall Community Centers are open on a reduced schedule. Please review the chart below to determine if your Community Center will be open or where you can go if there is a closure to your Community Center.

Quiet Hours
Quiet hours remain the same for the break period. Sunday through Thursday, quiet hours begin at 10 p.m. and end at 8 a.m. the following morning. Friday and Saturday, they begin at midnight and continue until 8 a.m. the following morning.
Lobby Doors
All residence halls will be locked, and residents will need to use their Buff OneCard to enter their building.
