As an evolutionary ecologist, I aim to understand how complex interactions between hosts and parasites can shape morphology and behavior across spatial scales, from fine-scale variation between individuals to large-scale comparisons between populations. I am currently a JSMF postdoc fellow studying host-parasite interactions with Emilie Snell-Rood at the University of Minnesota working with butterflies, and Dan Bolnick at the Unversity of Connecticut working with the three-spine stickleback. I continue to collaborate with Scott on projects involving barn swallow gene expression and sexual selection. I am also passionate about teaching and mentoring.
Amanda is now a JSMF Postdoctoral Fellow with Dr. Emilie Snell-Rood at the University of Minnesota. Amanda is continuing her work on barn swallows, three-spined stickleback, and is also working on butterfly ageing and immunity. Read more at Amanda's .
