Applications for Summer 2022 ICS Student Research & Travel Awards now open through July 15, 2022!

ICS Program Students are invited to apply for the Summer 2022 cycle of the ICS Student Research & Travel Awards. The deadline for applications is Friday, July 15 at 5pm. You must be a currently enrolled ICS Program Student in order to apply.

As with the previous award cycles, ICS travel awards can be used to fund attendance to in-person or remote conferences/workshops/etc.  If you are presenting/attending such virtual events and there are registration fees, etc. please apply if appropriate.

We are currently searching for departmental representatives from the departments of Philosophy, ATLAS, Architecture & Planning, and Integrative Physiology. Please reach out to me at norielle.adricula@colorado.edu if you are interested and/or would like to know more.

ICS student travel & research awards are available for graduate students who satisfy the following three criteria:

  • currently enrolled in the ICS certificate or dual PhD programs
  • have completed the Cog Sci Issues & Methods course
  • seeking funding for work that is clearly interdisciplinary in nature

OBLIGATIONS OF AWARDEES

All awardees are required to present work funded by these grants either at a regularly scheduled colloquium and/or the end of year ICS Fiesta.  In addition to the forms detailed below, you should include an abstract of the work you are presenting, an explanation of how this work is interdisciplinary in nature, and how this relates to your present course of study in your application materials.

FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS

A.   The application on the web is an Excel file which can be completed on your computer and printed out.   Please look over your final printout to make sure that you have included everything that is in the original - there may be two pages to complete in some cases.

B.  Additional information about application requirements is on the website above.  Please read this before turning in your application. Applications that do not meet the requirements will not be considered for funding because of time constraints.

C. Turn in an electronic copy of your application as an e-mail attachment to icsstudentawards@colorado.edu .  In your e-mail submission please put the following in the subject line: "[Your Name] ICS GrantApplication." (Typically we would require a hard copy, but given the situation, we only require electronic applications).
