group of students from INVST

INVST is currently accepting early applications & they have scholarship awards for students who apply to INVST & are accepted into the Class of 2022-2024. That INVST cohort begins programming in Summer 2022. For IAFS Majors & Minors who have a commitment to environmental activism, who work for social justice, who wish to fight climate change as a united global community, who are concerned about immigration policy, or, who have a vision for progressive change, INVST might be an ideal compliment to your IAFS studies.

INVST offers community-based learning for eco-social transformation!

INVST is a unique opportunity at ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder for students from all Majors who are interested in eco-social justice. We develop community leaders who engage in compassionate action as a lifetime commitment. Our two-year program features a small, cohort-based opportunity to learn with like-minded people who are passionate about making positive change. We offer internships in the local community with non-profit organizations, scholarship support for those who need it, and memorable summer travel experiences.

We are now accepting applications! You can join an INVST cohort right away! Our applications are due on a rolling basis & can be found here: /invst/clp-apply

In internships, INVST students work with nearby non-profits on issues like food insecurity; youth voter turnout; gender justice; organic farming & sustainability activism. Learn first-hand about immigration, economic justice, and climate action by traveling with us to meet change-makers.

You can earn the Leadership Studies Minor by participating. More than half of INVST students receive financial aid, including these 2 awards:

  • The Dreamer Scholarship: Dreamers and DACA recipients are encouraged to apply for an award up to $5,000 to help cover tuition and life expenses. This scholarship will be granted to those who are ineligible for federal financial aid.
  • James Downton Community Leadership Scholarship: $2,500 will be awarded to two students in the incoming INVST cohort who demonstrate financial need.
