It has been nearly 2 years since we first launched ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder Jobs and what a journey it has been! From the beginning, our goal has been to develop an application that could satisfy the complex and diverse needs of our campus, and engaging with campus partners like you has been crucial to our success in reaching this goal. You helped us define a robust set of requirements that were used during the early planning and development stages of the application, and your feedback continues to remain important as we further tailor the system to meet the needs of our campus.
One such area of the system we’ve been working to improve is the experience in the . We are excited to share with you some of the enhancements that have been released recently to support faculty and research faculty searches. Several more features are planned for release in the coming months so please stay tuned for further announcements from our team. As always, thank you for your continued partnership as we work to enhance the system.
Faculty/Research Faculty Candidate Review Enhancements
- The candidate review process now allows you to save a personal note on a candidate record that cannot be viewed by other search committee members. These notes should always be job-related and focus on the education, experience, and skills of the candidate as they relate to the position.
- You are no longer required to enter a reason "Why" when submitting feedback on a candidate.
- We removed the column "Days in current step" from various lists and will be replacing it with a new column "Date of Application" during an upcoming service release.
Faculty/Research Faculty Candidate Status Tracking Enhancements
- New workflow steps for "Interview 3/Step 3" and "Recommended for Hire" are now available! Search Chairs and Faculty Liaisons can move candidates into these new workflow steps from the "Advance Candidates" list on the "Manage Job" page.
- We updated the title of several disposition steps for greater usability and accuracy.
- The job dashboard page contains several new workflow categories to help you track where candidates are in the search process:
- Step 1/Interview 1
- Step 2/Interview 2
- Step 3/Interview 3
- Final Interview
- Recommended for Hire
- Letters Pending
- HireVue
- SkillSurvey
Confidential Letters of Recommendation Enhancements
- When requesting a new requisition, the requester can choose to specify a due date for the receipt of confidential letters of recommendation. This due date will be shared with the applicant and letter providers to guide the timeliness of the letter collection process.
- Referees will automatically be sent a copy of the job ad upon receiving a request to provide confidential letters of recommendation for a candidate.
- Candidates will receive more specific information regarding if/when confidential letter of recommendation will be collected during the search process, including when receipt of letters must be provided.
- To provide you with additional oversight over the letters of recommendation process, you can choose not to progress candidates in the workflow until the required number of letters have been received, while still maintaining visibility of their record in the portal. Notify your recruitment coordinator if you would like to manage a particular requisition in this way.
- We enhanced various lists and reports so you can better monitor the status letters of recommendation. For each candidate, you can see if/when each letter provider has been contacted, how many letters have been received, and which letters are still pending.
