The New Employee Welcome Experience (New-X) is part of the comprehensive, year-long onboarding experience designed to increase the understanding of ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder’s history, organization, operations, and mission. There is no cost to attend this program. 

Learning Objectives

At the New Employee Welcome Experience, participants will:

  • Gain knowledge of the history of ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder
  • Connect with other new ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder employees
  • Begin to build affinity with ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder

Who Should Attend

Due to limited capacity, the program is offered to new, permanent employees.

  • Ideally for hires in their first few months of employment, however, the program is designed for hires to attend within their first year at ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder
  • Rehires that have been away for three or more years
  • Student employees who are hired into permanent staff or faculty positions 
  • Temporary employees who are hired into permanent staff or faculty positions

What to Expect

The session includes: 

  • An overview of ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Boulder and System
  • Tour of the ¶¶ÒõÂÃÐÐÉä Art Museum
  • Lunch provided by our partners at Elevations Credit Union
  • Main campus tour
  • Executive leader meet and greet

Participants should be prepared to: 

  • Traverse about 2.25 miles total. If you require an accommodation, please let us know by contacting ²Ô±ð·É²¹³Ù³¦³Ü°ª³¦´Ç±ô´Ç°ù²¹»å´Ç.±ð»å³ÜÌýby the close of business one week prior to the session and we will follow up with you to determine an accommodation to meet your needs.
  • Carry personal items with them for the tour 
  • Be outdoors in the elements for most of the tour

    • May 11; 10:30 to 3:30 p.m.; Center for Community N301 

    How to Register

    There are two ways to register: 

    1. A new employee can Ìý³Ù³ó±ð³¾²õ±ð±ô±¹±ð²õ.Ìý
    2. A supervisor or onboarding contact can email the employee's name and requested session date to newatcu@colorado.edu to ask for the new employee to be registered.
      • The employee must have an official start date and an approved appointment in the HR system to be registered. 
      • Employees cannot attend before their start date. 

    Facilitators

    Virtual Option

    The virtual New Employee Welcome Experience (New-Xv) is offered virtually for those that are working remotely out or state or are unable to travel to campus. The virtual session is available to all new hires regardless of appointment type.
