Karina Pulec, who was a Russian double major (with International Affairs) and graduated from in 2009, is reported dead in a hit-and-run accident in Denver, on Sunday, October 30. Karina worked as an attorney in intellectual property for an international legal firm in Denver. After she attended Cornell University Law School, and worked as a legal intern for Wikipedia. She is author of a published article on post-Soviet Russia’s corporate law: “Legal Restraints on the Use of Shareholders’ Agreements for Structuring Foreign Investment Deals in Russia” (Cornell International Law Journal 2012). We will remember Karina as an extremely bright young woman with a true interest in Russian culture and warm, open and appealing personality.
